Woke up with this on my arm, won’t come off, no explanation

It won’t wash off, I did not get henna, and I am absolutely baffled. I slept in a hotel last night in my normal clothes – cotton shirt with no pattern like this, nor did sheets have a pattern so nothing transferred. Can’t think of any other info that would make this make sense.
