“Who should put the toilet seat down” is the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard

Like why does this even exist 🤣. If you see the seat is up and you want it down, put it down. If see that it’s up and want it down, put it down. How is this even an argument to begin with. The fact that a “toilet seat” was/is an indicator of a person’s politeness is beyond ridiculous. I genuinely am so shocked at how this was even an issue for so long. Again maybe I’m dumb or whatever but I genuinely don’t see why this is such a big deal. Somebody please help explain
