Vimeo to be acquired by Bending Spoons in $1.38B all-cash deal
Video platform Vimeo announced on Wednesday that it has agreed to be acquired by Bending Spoons, one of Europe’s largest mobile app developers, in an all-cash deal valued at approximately $1.38 billion. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Vimeo will be delisted from exchanges once the deal closes. The announcement comes as Bending Spoons was interested in a potential takeover of Vimeo as far back as March 2024. “At Bending Spoons, we acquire companies with the expectation of owning and operating them indefinitely, and we look forward to realizing Vimeo’s full potential as we reach new heights together,” said Bending Spoons CEO and co-founder Luca Ferrari in a press release….
