Ask HN: Has anyone ever noticed that a hot dog subsumes everything it touches?

Imagine a bare hot dog. Add a bun to it, and the combination is still called a hot dog. Add toppings, and the whole thing is still a hot dog. I submit that the “meat hot dog”, if you will, subsumes everything it touches. If you drop a hot dog on the ground, clearly then the Earth becomes a hot dog. In other words, we are all part of one big hot dog. QED.
